Established in 2004, MEET (the Middle East Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow) is an educational excellence NGO that educates and empowers tomorrow’s most promising Palestinian and Israeli leaders to take action towards creating positive social and political impact in the Middle East.
In partnership with MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), MEET delivers an intensive, three-year technology, entrepreneurship education, and leadership program that provides the tools and opportunities necessary to impact economic, social, and political change across the region. MEET leverages its alumni network of young leaders to enable swift and broadened impact through 3 core programmatic pillars, scaling MEET from a youth-focused program into a broader network of young proactive changemakers ages 15-30+ with the tools, capabilities, and experiences necessary to transform their communities.
MEET is fully bi-national, led by the students, alums, and bi-national staff and Board of Directors, ensuring that both Israeli and Palestinian voices are represented. MEET's Board is made up of leaders from all sectors of society, including some of the region's most influential entrepreneurs, VCs, philanthropists, and activists. MEET’s staff is comprised of professionals with deep expertise in shared society and bi-national work, educational programs, alumni community-building, tech and CSR.
The Logistical Support plays a vital role in the support of MEET’s mission through daily logistical tasks. He/She will work with the Student Program Director and in coordination Director of Finance & Operations, and Alumni Programs Director. The job entails planning and execution of logistical support for all of MEET’s educational programs.
This is a role that demands a high-level of organization, attention to detail, problem-solving, and accountability. The role involves some physical work as well as physical procurement and delivery of equipment"The successful candidate will need to assume responsibility with minimal supervision, work effectively under pressure, and collaborate on projects with various team members.
Note that this position requires work outside of normal office hours. During events and during the Summer Program, work is often in the evening or overnight.
Ensure that all the technical needs for the hub and systems are fulfilled (lab network, internet, laptops and more) – working with the IT administrator
Work directly with service providers – booking transportation, refreshments, accommodation, and supplies for meetings and events
During the Summer Program, work round-the-clock to provide all logistical needs
Provide price quotes and options for new programs
Responsible for procurement of supplies and proper documentation of procedures
Maintain the office
Dedicated to MEET’s mission and passionate about making an impact on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in Jerusalem and beyond
Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to multitask
Strong communication skills
Good command in English and Hebrew or Arabic (knowledge of Arabic is an advantage)
Team player who is willing to work in a dynamic and growing organization
Strong time management ability, deadline-driven
Willing to work flexible hours (required)
Driver’s license (required)
Able to travel to events outside of Jerusalem
Full-time in-person and overnight during the Summer Program at the campus in Jerusalem (usually 5 weeks in July/August)
